Acrp30 Antibody (31) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Acrp30 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Acrp30 antibody (31) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Acrp30, also known as adipocyte complement-related protein or AdipoQ, is a secretory protein synthesized exclusively in adipocytes, with mRNA levels increasing over 100-fold during adipocyte differentiation. Acrp30 plays a crucial role in energy homeostasis and obesity, as an abundant serum protein secreted solely from fat cells. Notably, Acrp30 undergoes significant post-translational modifications, resulting in several oligomeric forms, including monomers, dimers, trimers, hexamers, and polymers, which can influence biological activity and interactions. Dysregulation of Acrp30 has been linked to obesity in both humans and mice, highlighting potential as a regulator of whole-body energy balance. Additionally, Acrp30 secretion is regulated by phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase activity, as pharmacologic inhibitors of this enzyme can block insulin-stimulated Acrp30 secretion, underscoring the importance of this signaling pathway in Acrp30 function.
