Acrogranin Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects acrogranin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-acrogranin antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Acrogranin, also known as PC cell-derived growth factor (PCDGF), epithelin/granulin precursor, or paragranulin, is a glycosylated protein that plays a crucial role in cell signaling and tumorigenesis. This cysteine-rich protein is primarily located in the extracellular matrix and is secreted by various cell types, including estrogen receptor-positive human breast cancer cells. Acrogranin′s localization facilitates autocrine signaling, promoting cell proliferation and survival, particularly in breast carcinoma. Acrogranin overexpression has been implicated in the progression of human breast cancer, making acrogranin a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Additionally, acrogranin stimulates the growth of both PC cells and 3T3 fibroblasts, highlighting acrogranin′s importance in tumor biology and tissue remodeling.
