SEE ALSO...

ACK Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ACK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ACK antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACK protein, also known as TNK2 or Activated Cdc42-Associated Kinase 1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by acting as a tyrosine kinase that specifically interacts with the GTP-bound form of Cdc42Hs, a member of the Ras-related Rho subfamily of GTP-binding proteins. This interaction inhibits the GTPase activity of Cdc42Hs, thereby promoting its active state and influencing cytoskeletal organization and cellular morphology. A unique sequence of 47 amino acids located C-terminal to the SH3 domain of ACK is essential for this binding, highlighting ACK′s structural significance in maintaining the active form of Rho family GTPases. By sustaining the GTP-bound state of Cdc42Hs, ACK may play a pivotal role in various cellular processes, including cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation, making ACK an important target for research in cancer and other diseases where these pathways are dysregulated.

Does this antibody have a blocking peptide associated with it?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. As this antibody was raised against a recombinant protein, unfortunately it is not possible to offer a blocking peptide for it.
