AChRβ1 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects AChRβ1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AChRβ1, also known as CHRNB, CMS1D, CMS2A, SCCMS, or CHRNB1, is a crucial component of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which plays a vital role in synaptic transmission at the neuromuscular junction. This 501 amino acid protein is part of a larger family of ligand-gated ion channels that facilitate rapid communication between neurons and muscle cells by allowing ions to flow through a transmembrane pore upon binding of acetylcholine. Proper functioning of AChRβ1 is essential for muscle contraction and overall neuromuscular function, as defects in the gene encoding AChRβ1 can lead to congenital myasthenic syndrome slow-channel type (SCCMS), a condition characterized by muscle weakness affecting various muscle groups, including those responsible for eye movement and facial expressions. Anti-AChRβ1 antibody (E-2) provides reliable detection and analysis of AChRβ1, enabling researchers to explore its role in neuromuscular disorders and other related conditions.
