AChRα5 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects AChRα5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AChRα5 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AChRα5, also known as LNCR2 or CHRNA5 (cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, alpha 5), is a critical component of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor family, playing a vital role in fast synaptic transmission. AChRα5 is primarily located at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction, where binding acetylcholine facilitates ion influx through a transmembrane pore. Proper functioning of AChRα5 is essential for muscle contraction and neurotransmission, allowing rapid communication between nerve cells and muscle fibers. Dysregulation of AChRα5 can lead to various neuromuscular disorders, highlighting AChRα5′s importance in maintaining synaptic integrity and function.
