    SEE ALSO...

ACD Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACD protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ACD antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACD, also known as adrenocortical dysplasia homolog, PIP1, PTOP, TPP1, or TINT1, consists of 544 amino acids and serves as a crucial component of the telosome/shelterin complex, which plays a vital role in maintaining and protecting telomeres. Located in the nucleus, ACD is essential for the proper assembly and stabilization of the telomere-associated complex, directly interacting with other key proteins such as protection of telomeres 1 (POT1) and telomeric repeat binding factor 1 (TRF1). These interactions are critical for regulating telomere length and elongation, as ACD mediates telomerase activity and facilitates telomerase access to DNA. The ability of ACD to control telomere dynamics is significant for cellular aging and organogenesis, highlighting its importance in genomic stability and cellular function. Additionally, alternative splicing of the ACD gene results in the expression of two isoforms, further diversifying its functional roles within the cell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for WB/IF/PLABought this antibody (ACD) to measure protein-protein interactions (amongst other things) in 293T/HeLa lysates. Worked great! WB 1:1000 and IF/PLA 1:200. Works alongside irradiated samples/samples with small molecules really well. Looking to expand this to using alongside HTS platforms!
