SEE ALSO...

A1Up Antibody (A333) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects A1Up protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). A1Up (A333) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. A1Up, also known as Ataxin-1 ubiquitin-like-interacting protein or UBQLN4, is a 601 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to both cytoplasm and nucleus, where A1Up associates with endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This localization enables A1Up to interact with proteins destined for ER, facilitating proper folding and processing. A1Up shows high expression in kidney, pancreas, heart, brain, and skeletal muscle, with lower levels in liver, lung, and placenta. A1Up functions as a homodimer that binds to signal sequences on proteins targeted to ER. Additionally, A1Up links Ataxin-1 with ubiquitin/proteasome pathways, potentially aiding in formation of multimeric protein complexes within nucleus. A1Up contains one ubiquitin-like domain and one UBA domain, and undergoes phosphorylation in response to DNA damage, highlighting A1Up′s involvement in cellular stress responses.

Are there any issues with using sc-136145: A1Up (A333) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-136145 conjugates.
