9G8/SRp20 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 9G8/SRp20 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-9G8/SRp20 antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. 9G8/SRp20 plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, acting as a splicing enhancer that binds to specific RNA sequences to facilitate splice site recognition. This function ensures accurate processing of pre-mRNA by correctly removing introns and joining exons, ultimately influencing gene expression and protein diversity. 9G8/SRp20 primarily resides in the nucleus, interacting with other splicing factors and spliceosome components, while also shuttling between nucleus and cytoplasm to regulate splicing and mRNA transport. Such dynamic localization enables quick responses to cellular signals that guide splicing decisions, impacting various biological processes including cell differentiation and stress response.
