SEE ALSO...

60 kDa Ro/SSA Antibody (AA-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects 60 kDa Ro/SSA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-60 kDa Ro/SSA antibody (AA-3) is available as a non-conjugated format, making it versatile for various research applications. 60 kDa Ro/SSA protein, a ribonucleoprotein, plays a crucial role in immune response and is associated with several autoimmune conditions, including primary Sjögren syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. 60 kDa Ro/SSA (AA-3) antibody recognizes autoantibodies present in a substantial percentage of patients with these diseases, serving as a biomarker for diagnosis and monitoring. 60 kDa Ro/SSA protein is located primarily in the nucleus, involved in RNA processing and stability, highlighting importance in maintaining cellular function and integrity. Ro/SSA particle comprises a single immunoreactive protein noncovalently bound to one of four small RNA molecules, and this interaction is essential for RNA metabolism. Genes encoding larger and smaller Ro/SSA proteins are mapped to human chromosomes 11p15.5 and 1q31, respectively, indicating genetic significance in autoimmune disorders. Presence of antibodies against Ro/SSA is critical in autoimmune disease pathogenesis, making 60 kDa Ro/SSA (AA-3) monoclonal antibody invaluable for studying these conditions.

Can i use goat polyclonal anti-mouse/HRP secondary antibody? And also what do you mean by 100ug/ml ? How many ug should be working dilution for western blot?

Asked by: znaz
Thank you for your question. We recommend detecting this primary antibody with m-IgGk BP-HRP: sc-516102. 60 kDa Ro/SSA Antibody (AA-3): sc-100844 is supplied as 100 µg in 1 ml buffer. For western blotting a starting dilution of 1:200 is recommended.

Does this antibody have an associated blocking peptide?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. As this antibody was raised against a recombinant protein, it is not possible to offer a blocking peptide.
