5α-Reductase 2 Antibody (1F4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 5α-Reductase 2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-5α-Reductase 2 antibody (1F4) is available as non-conjugated format. 5α-Reductase 2 protein plays a crucial role in androgen metabolism, specifically converting testosterone to the more biologically active 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is essential for developing and maintaining male secondary sexual characteristics. 5α-Reductase 2 is predominantly expressed in the prostate and vital for normal prostate function, as well as hair follicle development and function. Dysregulation of 5α-Reductase 2 activity has been implicated in various conditions, including androgenetic alopecia and benign prostatic hyperplasia. 5α-Reductase 2 features a unique catalytic site that allows for specific binding and conversion of steroid hormones, making 5α-Reductase 2 a target for therapeutic interventions in androgen-related disorders. 5α-Reductase 2 Anticuerpo (1F4): sc-293232 . Mi pregunta es si tiene reactividad para rata y si sirve para IHC y WB. Los anticuerpos Sc-20399 and Sc-20659 (anti 5alpha1/5alpha2) sí servían para rata también. Gracias.

5α-Reductase 2 Anticuerpo (1F4): sc-293232 se recomienda para detectar 5α-Reductase 2 de human origen, mediante WB, IP y ELISA. No es adecuado para muestras de ratas. Thank you for your question. 5α-Reductase 2 Antibody (1F4): sc-293232 is only recommended for detection of 5α-Reductase 2 of human origin by WB, IP and ELISA. It is not suitable for rat samples.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with 5α-Reductase 2 (1F4): sc-293232 antibody?

안녕하세요, 산타크루즈에 문의 주셔서 감사합니다. sc-293232이 제품은 human샘플에 사용가능합니다. rat의 조직에 사용가능여부는 현재 테스트하지 않았으며 epitope sequence상 rat에 사용을 권장하지 않습니다.
