SEE ALSO...

14-3-3 ε Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects 14-3-3 ε in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-14-3-3 ε antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. 14-3-3 ε plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by regulating various processes, including apoptosis, mitogenic signaling, and cell-cycle checkpoints, which are particularly relevant in cancer biology. 14-3-3 ε belongs to a family of seven isoforms, including 14-3-3 β, γ, ε, ζ, η, θ, and Σ, that function as dimeric signaling intermediates. Each dimer provides two binding sites for ligand proteins, facilitating interactions that may not occur otherwise. The ligands typically share a consensus binding motif and are often phosphorylated on serine or threonine residues, which is essential for their interaction with 14-3-3 proteins. Through regulating these interactions, 14-3-3 ε can influence a wide range of cellular activities, including protein sequestration in the cytoplasm, modulation of enzymatic activity, and prevention of protein degradation. Alterations in 14-3-3 ε expression or function can lead to significant pathogenic consequences, underscoring its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer and other diseases.
