Phospholamban Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects phospholamban protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-phospholamban antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Phospholamban plays a crucial role in cardiac muscle function by regulating calcium cycling within the sarcoplasmic reticulum, which is essential for proper heart contraction and relaxation. Located in the sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane, phospholamban modulates the activity of the sarco(endo)plasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase (SERCA2a), a key enzyme responsible for pumping calcium ions back into the sarcoplasmic reticulum after muscle contraction.
