Pax-6 Antibody (AD1.5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Pax-6 in mouse, rat, human, avian, and zebrafish by applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Pax-6 is a crucial transcriptional regulator that plays a significant role in eye development and is essential for the formation of various ocular structures. Anti-Pax-6 antibody (AD1.5) orchestrates the expression of genes necessary for eye development, and mutations in the Pax-6 gene can lead to severe congenital conditions such as aniridia, characterized by iris hypoplasia and potential blindness. Pax-6 is involved in other anterior segment malformations, including Peters anomaly, which can result in corneal clouding and other serious developmental issues. Pax-6 features a paired-type DNA-binding domain, composed of two distinct subdomains that interact with specific DNA sequences, allowing regulation of target genes effectively. The human Pax-6 gene produces two alternatively spliced isoforms, each with unique structural characteristics that contribute to regulatory functions. With broad species reactivity and proven applications, Pax-6 (AD1.5) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying eye development and related disorders.

Are there any issues with using sc-53106: Pax-6 (AD1.5) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-53106 conjugates.
