NVL Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects NVL in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NVL, or nuclear valosin-containing protein-like, is a crucial member of the AAA ATPase family, consisting of 856 amino acids and playing a significant role in ATP-dependent nuclear processes and ribosome synthesis. NVL′s importance lies in its involvement in the regulation of essential cellular functions, particularly in the nucleus, where NVL facilitates the assembly and maturation of ribosomes, which are vital for protein synthesis. NVL exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, each contributing to diverse functions, and is widely expressed across various tissues, with highest levels found in the pancreas, retina, heart, skeletal muscle, and placenta. NVL′s interaction with other proteins, including association with the proteasome and ubiquitinated substrates, underscores NVL′s critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating the cell cycle. Anti-NVL antibody (A-10) is an invaluable tool for researchers exploring the intricate mechanisms of ribosome biogenesis and broader implications of ATPase activity in cellular processes.
