Mucin 13 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Mucin 13 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mucin 13 antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mucin 13, also known as down-regulated in colon cancer 1 (DRCC1), is a type I membrane protein predominantly found in epithelial tissues, particularly in gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts, where Mucin 13 plays a crucial role in maintaining mucosal integrity and facilitating cell signaling. Mucin 13 localization to apical membrane of columnar and goblet cells is vital for protecting epithelial surfaces and regulating mucus viscosity, which helps trap pathogens and particulates.
