HLA-DMβ Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-DM beta protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLA-DMβ (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-DMβ protein, also known as DMB or RING7, is a 263 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that plays a pivotal role in immune response by facilitating the loading of antigenic peptides onto major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules. This process is crucial for CD4+ T cell activation, allowing for processed antigen presentation to the immune system. HLA-DMβ exists as a heterodimer with an alpha chain (DMA) and a beta chain (DMB), and HLA-DMβ function is intricately regulated by HLA-DO presence, which modulates the interaction between HLA-DM and MHC class II molecules in B cells. HLA-DMβ gene is located on human chromosome 6p21.32 and consists of approximately 6,442 bases, highlighting HLA-DMβ significance in the genetic landscape of immune regulation.
