    SEE ALSO...

CD3-γ Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD3-γ in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD3-γ is a crucial component of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex, playing a vital role in T cell activation and signaling. Located on the surface of T cells, CD3-γ forms part of a multisubunit complex that transmits signals upon recognition of foreign antigens, thereby initiating an immune response. The structure of CD3-γ, which includes a single immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM), is essential for its function, as this allows for the recruitment of protein kinases like ZAP-70 and Syk, which are pivotal in propagating the activation signal within the cell. CD3-γ presence is not only important for T cell development and function but also serves as a marker for identifying T cells in various immunological studies. Anti-CD3-γ antibody (H-6) is therefore an invaluable tool for researchers investigating T cell biology and the immune response.

I am using CD3-γ (H-6): sc-55562 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
