C5L2 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects C5L2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). C5L2 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. C5L2, also known as C5a anaphylatoxin chemotactic receptor, is an integral membrane protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family. C5L2 positioning in the cell membrane is crucial for mediating inflammatory responses. C5L2 expression occurs in key brain areas, such as the hippocampus and hypothalamus, as well as in the liver, and shows coexpression with C5a receptor on polymorphonuclear neutrophils, suggesting a potential modulatory role in immune responses. While C5L2 weakly couples to Gi-mediated signaling pathways, research indicates involvement in the in vitro release of high mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1), a protein significant in inflammation and cell signaling. Understanding C5L2 dynamics and interactions remains essential for elucidating contributions to immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets in inflammatory diseases.
