Aladin Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Aladin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Aladin (B-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Aladin protein, also known as Adracalin, is a member of the WD repeat-containing protein family, which is involved in diverse cellular processes such as signal transduction, RNA processing, and transcription regulation. Aladin protein plays a crucial role in the development of the peripheral and central nervous systems, with expression being particularly high in the pituitary gland, corpus callosum, cerebellum, adrenal gland, and gastrointestinal structures. Defects in Aladin protein are linked to the autosomal recessive disorder known as achalasia-addisonianism-alacrima (triple A) syndrome, which manifests through symptoms such as achalasia, alacrima, and adrenal insufficiency resistant to adrenocorticotropic hormone. Robust expression of Aladin in neural systems that govern cognitive, motor, and sensory functions underscores the complexity of symptoms experienced by patients with triple A syndrome, making studies of Aladin protein vital for understanding implications in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374073 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
