  • raised against lipopolysaccharide activated spleen cells of mouse origin
  • MHC class II Antibody (Y-Ae) is recommended for detection of splenic B cells expressing the I-Ab MHC class II molecules complexed to the 52-68 fragment of the α chain of I-E class II molecules (the Eα 52-68 peptide) of mouse origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • Anti-MHC class II Antibody (Y-Ae) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for MHC class II Antibody (Y-Ae). This work is in progress.

MHC class II Antibody (Y-Ae) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects the MHC class II protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). MHC class II (Y-Ae) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules play a crucial role in the immune response by presenting processed exogenous antigens to CD4+ T lymphocytes, which are essential for orchestrating adaptive immunity. These molecules are primarily located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells, where they facilitate the recognition of foreign peptides. The ability of MHC class II molecules to bind and present 13-18 amino acid long peptides is vital for the activation of helper T cells, which in turn stimulate B cells to produce antibodies and enhance the cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells. The interaction between MHC class II and T cell receptors is a key event in the immune response, making anti-MHC class II antibody (Y-Ae) essential for understanding immune system dynamics and developing immunotherapies.
