Ku70 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ku70 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Ku70 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ku70, a critical component of the Ku heterodimer alongside Ku86, is primarily located in the nucleus, where Ku70 plays a vital role in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability. Ku70 is essential for the non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) pathway, which repairs double-strand breaks in DNA, a common form of damage that can lead to mutations and cancer if left unrepaired. Ku70′s ability to bind to DNA ends and recruit other repair factors underscores Ku70′s importance in cellular responses to DNA damage, making Ku70 a key player in maintaining genome integrity. Ku70 has been implicated in various cellular processes, including transcriptional regulation and cell signaling, further highlighting Ku70′s multifaceted role in cellular homeostasis and response to stress.
