NHE-6 Antibody (2D5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NHE-6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NHE-6 antibody (2D5) is available as a non-conjugated format. NHE-6, also known as SLC9A6, plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating intracellular pH and cell volume through the exchange of sodium (Na+) and hydrogen (H+) ions across the plasma membrane. NHE-6 is predominantly localized in the endosomal and lysosomal compartments of cells, suggesting a specialized function in the acidification of these organelles, thereby influencing processes such as nutrient uptake, receptor recycling, and cellular signaling. Dysregulation of NHE-6 has been implicated in various pathophysiological conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders, highlighting its importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
