    SEE ALSO...

KLC2 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects KLC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KLC2 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Kinesin light chain 2 (KLC2) is a vital component of the kinesin motor protein family, which is essential for intracellular transport, playing a significant role in the movement of organelles, vesicles, and macromolecular complexes within cells. KLC2 is composed of 622 amino acids and features six tetratricopeptide repeats (TPR), which are crucial for protein-protein interactions. KLC2 exists in an oligomeric complex with two light chains and two heavy chains, facilitating the coupling of organelle transport to ATPase activity, thereby ensuring efficient cellular function. KLC2 is involved in critical cellular processes such as cell division and membrane trafficking, including endocytosis and transcytosis. The gene encoding KLC2 is located on human chromosome 11, a region that contains over 1,400 genes and represents nearly 4% of the human genome, highlighting its significance in cellular biology and potential implications in various diseases.
