PFK-2 car Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PFK-2 car in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PFK-2 car Antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PFK-2 car (D-1) antibody targets a protein that plays a crucial role in glycolysis regulation by synthesizing fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a potent allosteric activator of phosphofructokinase-1 (PFK-1). This regulation is vital because PFK-1 is a key control point in the glycolytic pathway, influencing the conversion of fructose 6-phosphate and ATP into fructose 1,6-bisphosphate, thereby impacting cellular energy production and metabolism. PFK-2 car monoclonal antibody (D-1) recognizes a bifunctional enzyme that not only synthesizes fructose-2,6-bisphosphate but also possesses fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase activity, allowing for degradation of this metabolite when necessary, thus providing a fine-tuned balance in metabolic control. The dimeric structure of PFK-2 and its various isoenzymes, including PFK-2 liver (PFKFB1), PFK-2 cardiac (PFKFB2), PFK-2 placental (PFKFB3), and PFK-2 testis (PFKFB4), highlight its diverse regulatory roles across different tissues, making anti-PFK-2 car antibody (D-1) an essential tool for studying metabolic pathways and their implications in health and disease.
