HIV-1 Integrase Antibody (IN-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HIV-1 Integrase protein of HIV-1 origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-HIV-1 Integrase antibody (IN-2) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HIV-1 Integrase plays a crucial role in viral life cycle by facilitating viral DNA integration into host cell′s genome, a process essential for virus replication. This integration enables virus evasion of host immune response by becoming part of host genetic material. HIV-1 Integrase operates through precise DNA cleaving and ligation reactions, critical for accurate viral DNA insertion into host genome. HIV-1 Integrase (IN-2) antibody recognizes a protein whose structural integrity is maintained by C-terminal domain, forming a homodimer resembling Src-homology 3 (SH3) domains, while N-terminal domain contains conserved HHCC motif essential for zinc binding and protein stability. This unique structural configuration underscores HIV-1 Integrase importance in viral replication and presents potential therapeutic targets for HIV treatment strategies.

What is the amino acid sequence used to produce this antibody? What region of the Integrase constitute its target? Thanks

Asked by: Ramirez Q
Thank you for your question. Anti-HIV-1 Integrase Antibody (IN-2): sc-69721 was raised against HIV-1 Integrase. No epitope mapping has been performed for this antibody as of yet, so the exact amino acid range it targets or the targeted region of the protein is not known.
