TLK2 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TLK2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TLK2 (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLK2, a member of the Tousled-like kinase family, plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and is essential for proper organ morphogenesis. TLK2 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where TLK2 is involved in the phosphorylation of key substrates during the S phase of the cell cycle, thereby influencing DNA replication and repair processes. A nuclear localization signal and a coiled-coil region in TLK2′s structure facilitates dimerization and autophosphorylation, enhancing functional capacity. TLK2 is widely expressed across various tissues, with particularly high levels found in mouse testis, where TLK2 is critical for spermatogenesis. Understanding TLK2′s function and localization helps researchers gain insights into developmental biology and potential implications in reproductive health.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with TLK2 (E-12): sc-393506 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~88 kDa target protein in a HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix, but the target was not detected in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested or in the HeLa/Jurkat cell lysate mix.
