Tau Antibody (TauC3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize caspase-cleaved Tau protein, specifically truncated at Asp421. Anti-Tau antibody (TauC3) effectively detects caspase-cleaved Tau from mouse, rat, and human sources in applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Tau, also known as MAPT (microtubule-associated protein tau), or TAU, is a 758 amino acid protein predominantly localized in the neuronal cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, and cell membrane.
