CYP1A1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CYP1A1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CYP1A1 plays a crucial role in the metabolism of various xenobiotic compounds, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and certain drugs, making CYP1A1 essential for detoxification processes in the body. CYP1A1 is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum, where CYP1A1 catalyzes the oxidation of substrates, thereby influencing the bioactivation and detoxification of potentially harmful compounds. Proper functioning of CYP1A1 is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting against toxic insults, as dysregulation can lead to adverse effects, including increased susceptibility to carcinogenesis. Anti-CYP1A1 antibody (B-2) provides reliable detection and quantification of CYP1A1, facilitating research into drug metabolism and toxicology.

Is there any intercross between cyp1a1 and cyp1a2 by western blot in mouse?

Thank you for your question. This CYP1A1 (B-2) antibody, sc-48432, is specific for cyp1a1 and will not detect cyp1a2 in a Western blot.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of avian origin. Do you know if sc-48432: CYP1A1 (B-2) mouse monoclonal antibody will work?
