Forskolin empowers the adenylyl cyclase-cAMP pathway, bolstering intracellular signals that lead to the phosphorylation of various proteins. Its counterpart, H-89, offers a contrasting approach by obstructing protein kinase A, suggesting an indirect influence on KCTD2 by altering phosphorylation dynamics.
