GS188 Inhibitors

GS188 Inhibitors primarily operate by blocking the signalling pathways that GS188 is directly involved in. This can be achieved by inhibiting protein kinases like PKC and JNK, as well as Src-family kinases, all of which are known to activate GS188. Specific inhibitors for these kinases include Staurosporine, Dasatinib, SP600125, Go6983, Ro-31-8220. By inhibiting these kinases, these chemical compounds can lead to a decrease in the activation of GS188. Additionally, the NF-κB pathway is known to activate GS188, therefore, inhibitors like BAY 11-7082 and BAY 11-7085 that reduces NF-κB activation can lead to decreased activation of GS188.

Furthermore, the MAPK pathway, specifically the MEK component, is known to activate GS188. Therefore, MEK inhibitors like PD98059 and U0126 can decrease GS188 activation. Additionally, the PI3K and mTOR signalling pathways are known to activate GS188, so inhibition of these pathways by LY294002 and Rapamycin, respectively, can lead to decreased activation of GS188. Finally, EGFR is a known activator ofGS188. Therefore, its inhibition by AG 1478 can result in decreased activation of GS188. Hence, through the inhibition of these specific pathways and molecules, the functional activity of GS188 can be reduced.
