GDE3 Activators

GDE3 activators are a diverse group of chemicals that can activate the GDE3 protein. These chemicals can activate GDE3 by binding to its receptor, by activating signaling pathways that lead to the activation of GDE3, or by both of these mechanisms.

Retinoic acid (RA) is a metabolite of vitamin A that plays a role in cell differentiation and development. RA can activate GDE3 by binding to its receptor, RAR. Activation of RAR leads to the activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, which in turn activates GDE3. RA has been shown to induce differentiation and apoptosis in a variety of cell types, including epithelial cells, fibroblasts, and cancer cells. RA is also involved in the regulation of cell growth and proliferation.
