CRISP-10 Activators

Cysteine-rich secretory protein LCCL domain containing 1 (CRISPLD1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CRISPLD1 gene. It belongs to a larger family of cysteine-rich secretory proteins (CRISPs) that are characterized by the presence of a cysteine-rich domain and often a CAP (cysteine-rich secretory proteins, antigen 5, and pathogenesis-related 1 proteins) domain. The LCCL domain refers to a conserved sequence motif that is found in a variety of proteins, which is named after Limulus factor C, Coch-5b2, and Lgl1. This domain is implicated in a variety of cellular processes, including cell adhesion, signaling, and immune responses.

CRISPLD1 is expressed in many tissues, with notable levels in the lung and the vascular system, suggesting a role in the development and function of the respiratory and circulatory systems. The protein has been studied for its potential involvement in tissue remodeling and inflammation. It is thought that CRISPLD1 may influence extracellular matrix organization and has been associated with processes such as wound healing and fibrosis.Research has indicated that CRISPLD1 might play a role in the pathogenesis of certain inflammatory conditions.
