BRPF3 Inhibitors

BRPF3 inhibitors predominantly focus on modulating the chromatin remodeling processes in which BRPF3 plays an integral role. Given the bromodomain structure of BRPF3, several inhibitors target bromodomains, both directly associated with BRPF3 and related proteins. Compounds such as JQ1, I-BET762, and PFI-1 are well-known BET bromodomain inhibitors. These chemicals can bind to the bromodomain pockets, disrupting protein-protein interactions vital for chromatin modulation. This interaction can directly impact the function of proteins like BRPF3 that have a bromodomain structure. Similarly, OF-1 and TP-472, which target bromodomains of BRPF1 and BRPF2, can indirectly influence BRPF3, given the functional associations among these proteins.

Further expanding the horizon of BRPF3 inhibitors, compounds like UNC1215 and UNC669 have been highlighted. These chemicals inhibit L3MBTL proteins, which are also involved in chromatin regulation. By influencing these pathways, an indirect modulation of BRPF3-associated processes can be achieved. Moreover, molecules like MS023, EPZ011989, A-366, and EPZ020411 target various chromatin modifiers, including PRMTs and methyltransferases.
