BMP2K Activators

BMP2K Activators are a diverse array of chemical compounds that enhance the functional activity of BMP2K through a variety of signaling mechanisms. Forskolin, for instance, raises intracellular cAMP levels, which subsequently activates protein kinase A (PKA). PKA can then phosphorylate and enhance the activity of BMP2K. Lithium Chloride operates through the inhibition of GSK-3β, releasing the suppression on Wnt/β-catenin signaling, a pathway known to interact with BMP2K signaling. SB431542's inhibition of ALK5, a TGF-β type I receptor, lessens competitive TGF-β signaling, which can result in an upregulation of BMP2K activity. Trichostatin A and 5-Azacytidine, through epigenetic alterations, promote a more permissive chromatin state, which could increase the transcriptional activation of components upstream of BMP2K, thereby enhancing its activity.
