AGTRAP Inhibitors

The indirect inhibitors of AGTRAP listed above are primarily Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers (ARBs). They modulate the renin-angiotensin system (RAS), which AGTRAP is a part of, thus potentially influencing AGTRAP's activity or expression.

ACE inhibitors, such as Lisinopril, Enalapril, Captopril, Ramipril, and Quinapril, work by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. By reducing the levels of angiotensin II, these drugs indirectly affect the signaling pathways in which AGTRAP is involved. Lower levels of angiotensin II may lead to alterations in AGTRAP function or expression, given its role in the RAS. ARBs, including Losartan, Valsartan, Telmisartan, Irbesartan, Olmesartan, Eprosartan, and Candesartan, directly block the receptors for angiotensin II.
