ACTL10 Activators

ACTL10, also known as Actin-like protein 10, is a relatively uncharacterized member of the actin family of proteins, which are highly conserved and play a pivotal role in maintaining cellular structure and function. The ACTL10 protein is encoded by the gene ACTL10. The actin family is known for its involvement in the formation of the cytoskeleton, which provides a framework for cell shape and facilitates cellular processes such as movement, division, and intracellular transport.

Although the specific functions of ACTL10 remain to be fully elucidated, it likely contributes to the dynamic network of filaments that compose the cytoskeleton, similar to other actin proteins. This family of proteins is integral to the formation of actin filaments (microfilaments), which are essential for various cellular activities, including maintenance of cell shape, cell motility through protrusions such as lamellipodia and filopodia, and cytokinesis during cell division.
