SEE ALSO...

TIMP-1 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIMP-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIMP-1 Antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIMP-1 plays a crucial role in regulating extracellular matrix remodeling by inhibiting metalloproteinases, which are enzymes responsible for degrading various components of the extracellular matrix. This function is particularly important in processes such as wound healing, tissue repair, and cancer progression, where maintaining balance between matrix degradation and synthesis is vital for tissue integrity. TIMP-1 interacts with other tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases, including TIMP-2, TIMP-3, and TIMP-4, which further underscores TIMP-1′s significance in modulating metalloproteinase activity and influencing cellular behaviors. TIMP-1 expression is regulated by various factors, including parathyroid hormone, highlighting TIMP-1′s involvement in complex signaling pathways that govern cellular responses in different physiological and pathological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365905 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
