SV40 T Ag Antibody (PAb419) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects SV40 T antigen of SV40 species reactivity by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SV40 T antigen antibody (PAb419) plays a crucial role in cancer research, as SV40 T antigen is a key player in viral transformation of host cells. SV40 T antigen is primarily located in the nucleus, where SV40 T antigen exerts effects by interacting with critical cellular proteins such as tumor suppressor p53 and retinoblastoma protein (Rb). Nuclear localization of SV40 T antigen is essential for function, as this positioning allows disruption of normal cell cycle regulation and promotion of uncontrolled cell proliferation. Through binding to p53, SV40 T antigen inhibits tumor-suppressive functions, while interaction with Rb prevents Rb-E2F complex from regulating transcription of genes necessary for cell cycle progression. Understanding mechanisms by which SV40 T antigen manipulates cellular pathways is vital for developing therapeutic strategies against cancers associated with viral infections.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MTSR from It did not work at all. Western Blot.I tried a dilution of even 1:100 and had no signal whatsoever. I made sure -of course- that the secondary-HRP work (it does) and that the proteins contained the proteins to be recognized (by using another monoclonal, which it worked).
