SPT6 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects SPT6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPT6, also known as SUPT6H, Tat-CT2, or emb-5 in C. elegans, is a highly conserved protein consisting of 1,726 amino acids, playing a crucial role in the regulation of transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II. Anti-SPT6 antibody (C-6) targets a protein predominantly localized in the nucleus, where SPT6 interacts with key nuclear proteins, including SPT4 and SPT5, to form the DRB-sensitivity-inducing factor (DSIF) complex, which is essential for modulating the transcriptional process.
