PRPK Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRPK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PRPK (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRPK protein, also known as TP53RK, is a critical 253 amino acid protein kinase that plays a vital role in regulating tumor suppressor protein p53. Through phosphorylation of Ser15 of p53, PRPK enhances p53 stability and activity, which is essential for mediating cellular responses to stress, including growth arrest and apoptosis. PRPK phosphorylation of p53 is crucial because unphosphorylated p53 is targeted for degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, potentially leading to unchecked cell proliferation. PRPK is predominantly localized in the nucleus and exhibits high expression levels in the testis, with lower levels found in the heart, kidney, and spleen, highlighting PRPK importance in cellular processes related to cell cycle control and differentiation.
