MYH7 Antibody (A4.840) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects the MYH7 protein of mouse, rat, human, rabbit, and avian origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-MYH7 antibody (A4.840) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYH7, also known as myosin heavy chain beta, plays a crucial role in muscle contraction and is primarily expressed in cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal muscle fibers. MYH7′s structure is essential for function, forming a heterohexamer with two heavy chains and two pairs of light chains, allowing for the generation of force and movement through ATP hydrolysis. Proper functioning of MYH7 is vital for maintaining cardiac muscle integrity, and mutations in the MYH7 gene are linked to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that can lead to serious heart complications.
