    SEE ALSO...

KNP-I Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KNP-I protein of human origin, D10Jhu81e protein of mouse origin, and the corresponding rat homolog by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-KNP-I antibody (D-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KNP-I protein, also known as ES1 protein homolog or protein GT335, is a highly conserved mitochondrial protein playing a crucial role in cellular metabolism and energy production. KNP-I presence in mitochondria is vital for regulating metabolic pathways essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. C21orf33, the gene encoding KNP-I, is located on human chromosome 21, near a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Down syndrome, characterized by an extra copy of chromosome 21. C21orf33 gene product overexpression may contribute to Down syndrome pathology, highlighting KNP-I importance in both normal physiology and disease states. KNP-I shows abundant expression in heart and muscle tissues, underscoring KNP-I significance in tissues with high energy demands.
