HSPC300 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HSPC300 protein of human, mouse, and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HSPC300 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSPC300 protein, also known as probable protein BRICK1 or C3orf10, consists of 75 amino acids and is expressed as two isoforms, localizing to both cytoplasm and cytoskeleton. HSPC300 plays a crucial role in regulating cytoskeletal organization and actin polymerization, which are essential processes for maintaining cell shape, motility, and division. HSPC300 exists as homotrimers before being incorporated into the WAVE complex, a multi-protein assembly that includes five proteins and is vital for the activation of the Arp2/3 complex, responsible for actin nucleation in a Rac1-dependent manner. HSPC300 conservation across various species suggests similar functions in different organisms, highlighting its importance in cellular processes. In Drosophila, the WAVE/Arp2/3 pathway is implicated in nervous system development, with HSPC300 localizing to axons and potentially influencing axonogenesis and synaptic morphogenesis in motoneurons. In mice, absence of the WAVE complex has been linked to learning and memory deficits, indicating HSPC300 may also play a role in cognitive functions. Furthermore, genetic depletion of HSPC300 has been associated with cytoskeletal abnormalities and impaired cytokinesis, suggesting potential involvement in tumor suppression.
