    SEE ALSO...

ASIC4 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ASIC4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ASIC4 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ASIC4, also known as ACCN4 and BNAC4, is a member of the degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (DEG/ENaC) superfamily, which plays a crucial role in sodium ion transport across cell membranes. ASIC4 is predominantly expressed in the pituitary gland and the inner ear, where ASIC4 is involved in sensory transduction and the regulation of fluid balance. ASIC4′s presence in these tissues highlights ASIC4′s importance in physiological processes such as hormone secretion and auditory function. Additionally, ASIC4′s structure, characterized by two hydrophobic transmembrane regions and a cysteine-rich extracellular loop, is essential for proper formation of ion channels that respond to changes in pH and mechanical stimuli. Understanding ASIC4′s role in these contexts can provide insights into potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.
