Buenas, me gustaría saber cuáles son las condiciones exactas de bloqueo y de incubación para este anticuerpo o al menos donde podría encontrar esta información en su página web. Un saludo

Asked by: DavidGenyo
This antibody is specifically recommended for detection of p67 Myc and Myc-tagged proteins. Does this mean the antibody does not detect p64 Myc? Both p64 and p67 should contain the epitope this antibody recognizes.

Asked by: ThisIDWasAvailable
Monoclonal anti c-Myc antibody recognizes an epitopelocated within the sequence EQKLISEEDL (residues 410-419) of the human oncogene product c-myc. The antibody reacts with both components of the p64 c-myc and p67 c-myc. I was wondering which blocking solution would you suggest? Thanks.

Asked by: CatMar
Thank you for your question. Which blocking solution to use depends on the application you are using the antibody for. For example, for Western blotting we would recommend 5% milk with TBS-T, but for IF we would recommend blocking serum. You can find the suggest blocking reagents in the appropriate protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols If you have any further questions, please contact our European Technical Service team. Is free sample of sc-40 PE available?

Asked by: pandarella
Thank you for your question. We do not currently provide free samples of the conjugated versions of this antibody. If you would like to request a free 10 µg sample of the unconjugated antibody, c-Myc (9E10): sc-40, please contact our Technical Service Department. We would be happy to include a free sample of our PE conjugated mouse IgG binding protein that can be used as a secondary for detection of this primary antibody.

Do you provide test samples of the biotin conjugated anti-myc antibody (9E10; SC-40 B)? I have tried the unconjugated but get high levels of background when staining mouse tissue using MOM kit

Asked by: nickdavies82
Thank you for your question. We do not provide sample sizes of any conjugated primary antibodies. This antibody is available for purchase conjugated to biotin, c-Myc (9E10): sc-40 B. And our warranty would apply for using the antibody for IHC staining of mouse tissue. Alternatively, we would recommend to try using the unconjugated primary in conjunction with our mouse IgG kappa binding protein (m-IgGκ BP) conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). This secondary binds specifically to only the kappa light chain of mouse IgG, and enables specific detection of the primary antibody with minimal non-specific binding. A link to this product is provided below as a reference. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/m-igg-kappa-bp-hrp If you have an interest in testing a free 10 µg sample of m-IgGκ BP-HRP: sc-516102, our highly recommended recombinant alternative to conventional secondary anti-mouse IgG HRP reagents, please contact Technical Service.
