Datasheets
  • SAF-B2 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 101-207 mapping within an internal region of SAF-B2 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of SAF-B2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for SAF-B2 Antibody (E-2) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with SAF-B2 Antibody (E-2) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

SAF-B2 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SAF-B2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAF-B2 Antibody (E-2) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. SAF-B2, also known as scaffold attachment factor B2, plays a crucial role in the organization of the nuclear matrix and is involved in the regulation of gene expression. SAF-B2 binds to matrix- or scaffold-associating regions (MARs or SARs) on DNA, facilitating interactions with RNA polymerase II and serine-/arginine-rich RNA processing factors, which are essential for pre-mRNA processing and transport. SAF-B2 is expressed in several breast cancer cell lines, where SAF-B2 may influence cellular proliferation and division by interacting with the estrogen receptor. Unlike SAF-B, which is exclusively localized in the nucleus, SAF-B2 is found in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, highlighting SAF-B2′s versatile role in cellular processes. SAF-B2′s ability to shuttle between these compartments may be significant for its function in gene regulation and cancer biology, making anti-SAF-B2 antibody (E-2) a valuable tool for researchers studying these pathways.
