Flt-3/Flk-2 Antibody (BV10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Flt-3/Flk-2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Flt-3/Flk-2, also known as stem cell tyrosine kinase (STK-1), plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis as a member of the type III receptor tyrosine kinase family, which includes other important receptors like Kit and PDGF. Flt-3/Flk-2 is primarily expressed in CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, highlighting its significance in the regulation of stem cell proliferation and differentiation. The interaction of Flt-3/Flk-2 with various ligands, such as Flt-3 ligand, is essential for the survival and expansion of these progenitor cells, making Flt-3/Flk-2 a key player in the development of the hematopoietic system.
