ETBR Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Endothelin receptor B (ETBR) of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ETBR (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Endothelin receptor B, also known as EDNRB, ETB, ETRB, HSCR, and HSCR2, is a crucial member of the guanine-binding, regulatory protein-coupled receptor family, with three known isoforms: isoform 1, isoform 2, and δ 3. ETBR plays a significant role in regulating sodium excretion and glomerular filtration rate (GFR), which are vital for maintaining fluid balance and blood pressure homeostasis. ETBR is predominantly expressed in various tissues, including the lung, kidney, placenta, skeletal muscle, and stem villi vessels, highlighting its importance in both developmental and physiological processes. ETBR is involved in the normal development of neural crest-derived cell lineages, such as epidermal melanocytes and enteric neurons, which are essential for proper organ function and development. Dysfunction or deficiency of ETBR can lead to severe health issues, including early onset kidney dysfunction characterized by reduced sodium excretion and decreased GFR, as well as congenital conditions like Hirschsprung′s disease Type 2, which is linked to mutations in the ETBR gene.
