CD24 Antibody (3H1143) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD24 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD24 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane sialoglycoprotein predominantly expressed on pro-B, pre-B, and mature B cells, with expression diminishing following B cell activation. CD24 is also present on granulocytes and a small subset of thymocytes and neuroblastomas, but remains absent in plasma cells. CD24 plays a crucial role in regulating B cell proliferation and differentiation, serving as a marker for B cell maturation and showing involvement in various hematological malignancies and solid tumors. A transition from apical to cytoplasmic staining of CD24 has been identified as a surrogate marker for stromal invasion in ovarian serous tumors of borderline malignancy. CD24′s expression pattern provides insights into B cell differentiation status, appearing on mature resting B cells but disappearing upon stimulation, highlighting CD24′s importance in understanding immune responses and potential therapeutic targets in cancer. Anti-CD24 antibody (3H1143) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating B cell biology and tumor immunology.
