SEE ALSO...

ZRANB2 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZRANB2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZRANB2 Antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZRANB2, also known as Zinc finger Ran-binding domain-containing protein 2, is a 330 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in RNA processing as a splicing factor, specifically involved in the alternative splicing of Tra-2β (transformer-2 beta) transcripts. This function is vital for regulating gene expression and ensuring the production of diverse protein isoforms, which can significantly impact cellular functions and responses. ZRANB2 is localized in the nucleus and contains two RanBP2-type zinc fingers that facilitate RNA-binding activity, highlighting its importance in post-transcriptional regulation. Additionally, ZRANB2 has two isoforms, ZIS-1 and ZIS-2, generated through alternative splicing, and ZIS-2 can be phosphorylated by ATM or ATR in response to DNA damage, indicating its potential role in cellular stress responses.

What would be the recommended concentration for IP with this antibody?

Asked by: Mayukh
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1-2 μg of ZRANB2 Antibody (B-5): sc-514200 per 100-500 μg of total protein (1 ml of cell lysate) for IP experiments using this antibody. You can find this information on the product's datasheet, which is available from the product page. You can find our recommended protocol for IP with our antibodies by following this link: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots Feel free to contact our technical support if there is anything else you need.
